Anglo Pacific Group PLC (LON:APF, TSX:APY) has kicked off a £5mln share buy-back programme. The natural resources royalty and streaming company said it sees the current share price as offering significant value, given the implied discount to underlying net asset value and other valuation metrics.

Trident Royalties PLC (LON:TRR) is acquiring an existing 1.5% net smelter royalty on the Lake Rebecca gold project in Western Australia, an asset thats currently being worked up by Apollo Consolidated (ASX:AOP), and which already boasts a resource of a million ounces.

Anglo Asian Mining PLC (LON:AAZ) is increasing its interim dividend and also mulling a special dividend as strong gold prices helped drive up first-half revenue and profit at its gold mining operations in Azerbaijan. Financial results for the six months ended June 30, 2020, revealed total revenue of US$45.9mln, up 6% year-on-year and pre-tax profits of US$11.8mln, up from US$10.3mln,

Red Rock Resources PLC (LON:RRR) said its Australian gold mining joint venture, Red Rock Australasia has appointed David Holden as exploration manager. Holden was involved in the initial discoveries at Nimary/Jundee, Brocks Creek, Mt Todd (Australia), Ngaka Coal Field (Tanzania), and Big Sandy lithium (USA), said Red Rock.

Arkle Resources PLC (LON:ARK) has revealed positive results from soil sampling at the Inishowen gold project in County Donegal, Ireland. Sampling took place at 20 metre intervals on 100 metre spaced lines, and a total of 356 samples weighing around 120 grams were taken.

ECR Minerals PLC (LON:ECR) said its wholly-owned Australian subsidiary Mercator Gold Australia has applied for two new exploration licences in eastern Victoria, Australia. The licences, which are contiguous, will comprise the Tambo gold project.

Base Resources Limited (LON:BSE) (ASX:BSE) said it has appointed Janine Herzig as an independent non-executive director, effective from October 12, 2020. Herzig replaces Sam Willis who will retire at the company's AGM on November 20, 2020, after thirteen years service, the mineral sands miner added.

European Metals Holdings Ltd (LON:EMH) said it has hired SMS Group Process Technologies GmbH as lead engineer at the Cinovec project in Czech Republic. SMS will be working on the minerals processing and lithium battery-grade chemicals production, to provide a complete Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) study for Cinovec.

Panther Metals PLC (LON:PALM) told investors it is confident that the current phase of exploration at the Big Bear gold project, in Ontario, will result in a pipeline of potential new discoveries. The company noted that ground-truthing and sampling follow-up are progressing for 39 priority geophysical targets.

Salt Lake Potash Ltd (ASX:SO4) (LON:SO4) (OTCMKTS:WHELF) is going “gangbusters” with the development of its Lake Way SOP Project in Western Australia, according to chief executive officer Tony Swiericzuk

The price of ethereum (ether) has hit a new all-time high amid predictions that an impending supply shortage will force the price up even higher. The cryptocurrency reached above $1,500 (£1,100) for the first time in its history on Wednesday following a 10-month price rally that has seen its value rise by more than 1,000 per cent since last April. Its fortunes have mirrored those of other major cryptocurrencies over the last year, including bitcoin and Cardano (ADA). The market surge has been boosted by increased institutional interest during the pandemic, which has seen major investors turn to cryptocurrency in an effort to diversify their portfolios during a time or economic uncertainty. Retail investors have also turned to crypto assets, as more and more apps offer easy ways to purchase bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
